To Dye For: A World Saturated in Color, DY, 2010

Laheria (wave pattern). refers to the wrap-resist e techniquein which the fabric is rolled or folded than wrapped to prevent dye from penetrating reserved areas. Simple wrappings yiled striped patterns. This turban is dyed n a technique referred to as mothara or fist. After the first dyeing, the fabric is folded in the opposite direction and dyed again, thus creating the checkered effect.
