Seven women of varying ages each wear a heart on a chain. The hearts are of different colors, and each woman explains the satiric meaning of her heart: alabaster, firestone, topaz, amethyst, emerald, carnelian and amber. An example: "Topaz, a golden heart; a rich city widow at your service." (Virginia K. Anderson 02/21/95)
