The sculpture is made of hand-formed ceramic clay -- mostly made of slabs. Vertical slab forms have been placed onto a horizontal slab and held down by means of ceramic "kiln cement", before firing. Tubular sections make up the leg portions and have also been held onto the main sculpture with kiln cement. The sculpture has received a brown/red oxide/green slip glaze. There are numerous
inclusions in the clay that are original, particularly: brown/black spots on upper horizontal front section, and some white spots on belly sections of sculpture.
The sculpture sits on a black base made of synthetic material (fibre-filled plastic DELRIN) or painted black metal.
