During the weaving process, palm strips are inserted in both the awarp and weft direction. Later they are removed to create a patterned spaced weave. After this piece was removed from the loom a needle and thread running in the warp direction was inserted between the twisted weft threads, creating a guaze weave effect-Itie van Hout 7/2004
