Many-turreted clock tower dominates city street in France: half-timbered houses with tiny attic dormers line the curving street where all sorts of business is being conducted. Women with baskets of produce sit in one corner chatting, donkeys with panniers wait while their owners talk etc. etc. One building has a statue on the corner which looks like Saint George slaying the dragon; lengths of plain and plaid fabric are draped from bars projecting from the front of the building.
