Busy French city street, filled with people going about their work, chatting, shopping. One man pushes a cart filled with wares, another carries an empty rack on his back, women carry one or more baskets, two men play with a dog at the side, another dog watches them. Ornate buildings up to five stories tall are draped with fabric over doorways or have awnings at windows, or blankets airing from window sills. At end of street is smaller building with archway, over which is a large clock. (Virginia K. Anderson 02/14/94)
