A hefty Bacchus lies sprawled in sleep on a rock near a little stream. His staff, entwined with grape branches, lies between his legs.A small devotee sleeps under his legs and on top of a bunch of grapes. Around are goddesses (shepherdesses?), shepherds, animals such as a cow, goats, sheep, tiger, bear, geese; cherubim flying in the air and playing with the animals; young fauns with elongated ears and goat legs.
