This original drawing printed on white silk from a wood block is delightfully spare and bold. A man clad in baggy pants, shirt and serape and shaded by a huge sombrero sits on a street curb. He leans forward over a glass or receptacle held in his hand. Tied by a string to his sandaled foot is a rooster pecking at grain in the roadway. (Monica Jensen 04/15/93)
