Bequest of Thomas G. Fowler

Beautifully rendered carving of a seal being transported on a sled. The seal is lying on its back and is bound to a sled as evidenced by the presence of sled runners. There is a hole pierced in one end for attachment or for hanging. This piece was excavated by Edgar Campbell of the village of Gambell in August 2001 and purchased directly from him.
