Apprenticed in a milliner's shop[, New York at age 17. Established her own hat shop on upper 5th Avenue 1915. Married Aubrey Eads 1917. He became her business partner. Began designing clothing after WWI. Designed costumes for 1920 revival of The Merry Widow on Broadway - a big success. Business was advertised as "Milliners, Dressmakers and Tailors to the American Arstocracy" and earned $1 million in 1926. Did business from the former Rhinelander mansion on East 55th Street. Perfumes(1924): Camellia, Mimosa, Yellow Orchid (1925) Flowers, Christmas. Known for popularizing the use of rhinestone embroidery, 1925.
