Leaf of vellum with opaque watercolor and gold paint showing adults and children in bucolic pastoral setting with scrollwork border. On reverse, a single female figure in a landscape. Sticks and guards of carved and incised mother-of-pearl with applied gilt silver foil. Guard has carving of shepherd with musette, butterfly, and rocaille motifs. Glass jewel and lead-tin rivet.
