Hidekatsu Takada

Hidekatsu Takada was Master Printer at Crown Point Press from 1978 to 1987, having apprenticed there. Takada played a central role in the Crown Point woodcut project in Japan, as facilitator, translator and technical expert. PERSONAL: Hidekatsu Takada is an printer/artist who lives in Oakland, California. EDUCATION: 1976 Master of Fine Arts (Printmaking), San Francisco Art Institute PROFESSIONAL: 1977-1978 Curator, The Registry (Center for Asian-American Visual Arts) Currently, Takada specializes in printing etchings. The prints and drawings he creates as an artist have been exhibited in the United States, Canada, Belgium and Japan.
