Born 1933 in Tokyo. First exhibition at Takemiya Gallery in 1956. won prize at International Biennial Print Exhibition at Lublians, Yugoslavia Considered a surrealist, Kano was self taught and not a member of any artists groups. He exhibited his work in Japan and beyond while maintaining his independence. In 1960 Kano was included in an exhiition titled Development of Surrealist Painting at the Museum of Modern Art in Tokyo.
