A portrait of Johann Georg I. Churfurst von Sachsen in an extremely elaborate suit of armor. He is framed in an equally elaborte frame with his crest at the top center and his name below. His name is handwritten below the print's name. He is surrounded with an ermine cape and is holding a metal tipped cane and wears a sword. His shirt is lacy at the collar and cuffs. A lace trimmed sash is pulled over his chest armor. The armor is embellished with curliques and a phoenix. His hair is short and straight, with a beard covering his chin and a waxed moustache which curls up at the tips. Behind him is a curtain drawn aside with a tasseled cord. Revealed behind the curtain are church towers. (Rozell Overmire 05/19/94)
