Museum purchase, M.H. deYoung Memorial Museum, 1931

A fashionably-dressed young woman stands before a mirror, wiping the corner of her mouth with a white handkerchief. Her hair is pulled back into a bun; her flattish hat sports plumes on top and a dark veil that covers her eyes. Her gown or coat has large puffy sleeves (mutton-chop?) and a fur collar or boa.
