Two female figures, sitting in opposite directions but looking toward each other, wear the robes of mythological figures and simple braided hairdos; one has a laurel wreath. One writes with a pen on a sheet of paper supported by a flat piece of wood; the other holds a book of paper and leather tied together, but her pen is held aloft. Behind them a child-angel with long-stemmed horn brandishes the circular form of a serpent with its tail in its mouth. At one side is a pillar with plain base and elaborate multi-level carvings of figures.
