Foundation purchase, Phyllis C. Wattis Fund for Major Accessions
One of a series of 19 prints inspired by a short novel by D.H. Lawrence titled The Man Who Died. The prints are not a description of the book's narrative, but capture fleeting moments by giving shape to feelings and inner experiences that trace moments of existence inspired by the novel. Here, a series of mottled shapes done in black and gray float over the surface with some connected by a black line.
