Family scene with woman seated and handing something (to eat?) to her two children, who look ready to leave for school or other event. A man seated at the table is referring to some books with an older child, and a small dog is begging at the feet of the woman. A sewing basket is on the floor on the left bottom corner of the picture, and two paintings or posters are hanging on the wall. All of the people are wearing ruffled collars and are dressed in clothing suitable to go out, and the children are carrying satchels with books.
