Jean Neder: Unusual lace - probably Irish, because a fine linen cloth is appliqued to a silk knotted net ground. Edges overcast with a linen thread to represent cordonnet. Design includes shamrock, flower sprigs and flying insects. Overall effect of Alencon lace.
