Painter, architect, archeologist and etcher, born in Corleone, Sicily, 28 August 1710, died in Rome 16 April 1782. Studied painting in Sicily, then practiced in Rome as student of S. Conca., P. Ghezzi and Juvara. He was printer to the court of Naples, and for this was made a knight. Piranesi was his student.
