Hand pieced and hand quilted "Friendship" quilt in "Nine-patch" pattern. Forty-two names or initials are each featured on a single square, in hand-written ink, cotton embroidery in cross stitches, or typed. Many squares are dated with "1847". Hand-combed cotton wadding. Straight applied binding.
