hand carved.
The sign is made of one plank of redwood that is surrounded by a redwood frame. It is of typical mitred frame construction; the corners are nailed together and nailed to the sign plank. The sign has a low relief carving of a banner with two crests. The words "California School of Arts and Crafts" are chiselled into the banner.
