Exhibition History:

Bedecked with Lace(CPLH), 1982

Jean Neder: Lace consists of two parts, joined lengthwise. The lower edge has a deep Vandyke edging, the top is of similar design but with a straight edge. The original linen base fabric can be seen along the lengthwise joins. The design is geometric and is repeated. This lace feels clothy, with a heavier thread and coarse design. Ref: Jourdain, Old Lace, P. 16, Plate 8, 9 and Pollen.
