Gift of Mrs. D.L. Wemple

Jean Neder: Characterized by much use of close toile, heavy raised cordonnet and brides picotees. The patterning consists of scrolls, leaves and flowers, joined by brides. A variety of fillings are used. Narrow band of punto en aria edging is along the bottom and a narrow needle heading runs along the top edge. Very fragile due to heavily constructed areas being joined by delicate brides picotees.
