Bequest of Thomas G. Fowler

Finely detailed “horn” doll with engraved eyebrows, pupils, nostrils, nipples and navel in black. Facial features are carved in relief as well as arms and waistline. Doll is wearing authentic sealskin boots and originally most likely wore a complete sealskin outfit. Some horn dolls were originally used as teething dolls.
