The artist has sketched this house from its backside, starting with wooden "Tom Sawyer fence" and backyard clothes-laden clothesline. The modest woodframe structure sports four windows across the back, two dormer windows on the roof and a brick chimney in between. On property adjacent to the house stands a tall square chimney with four niches, one above the other. A square duct extends from the lowest niche. The house seems to be part of a densely settled urban area. (Monica Jensen 04/09/93)
