Edith (Mark) Milsk was born in St Paul, Minnesota on November 15, 1899. She studied at California School of Fine Arts, Art Students League of New York City, and Chouinard Art School in Los Angeles. She was active in San Francisco from 1930s-1960s with a studio at 628 Montgomery Street. Her married name was Mrs. Edmond Imperato. She died in San Pablo, California on December 21, 1982. Exhibited: Golden Gate International Exposition, 1939; Crocker Art Gallery (Sacramento), 1940s; De Young Museum; Gump's (San Francisco), 1941 (solo); San Francisco Museum of Art; Foundation of Western Art (Los Angeles); California Society of Etchers, 1942, 1943, 1945 (awards); Syracuse, Indiana, 1944 (award).
