Davis Schoenwasser
Davis Schonwasser(or Schoenwasser) was a high end retailer in downtown San Francisco at the turn of the 19th c. Located at Sutter and Grant they advertised that infant wardrobes were a specialty (and presumably undergarments of all kinds). When their premises were destroyed in the 1906 quake and fire, they temporarily re-located to a private home at 1808 Pacific. Raphael Weill, forerunner of the City of Paris, was in another private home next door.
