Two French soldiers stand barefoot before a fire they have made on the desert sands., A huge pot sits in the fire, with their boots boiling in it. Caption under the cartoon reads "Hunger is the best cook." One of the men says: "I've eaten well of veal, but never like that...still, if those nails were cloves...!" (Virginia K. Anderson 04/10/95)
