This cartoon is part of the "Daily Sketch" series. The caption reads "Mr. de Girardin and his doctor." Mr. de G.sits resting his head on his hand, next to a file cabinet bearing a bust of Liberty wearing the pointed cap of the Revolution. His doctor, in double-breasted overcoat and flat, broad-brimmed black hat, stands beside him. "Truly, Mr. de Girardin," the doctor says, "you should take a vacation. All the parliamentary work that you have left undone, all the laws that you failed to vote on -- all that has worn you out completely. Now you have to muster new energy for all the great things you have still to neglect !" (Virginia K. Anderson 04/17/95)
