During the weaving process, palm strips are inserted in both the warp and weft direction. Later they are removed to create a patterned spaced weave. A beautiful piece, executed with three different shades of purple, light brown and undyed white. An example of rythm on textiles, reminiscent of contrapuntal music notes--Itie van Hout 7/2004
