Sixteen deep scallops attached to a very narrow band. each scallop has a scalloped edge with a centered vase design. The lace is made with needle weaving and plaiting, distinguishing it from punto inaria, which it resembls. There are no buttonhole stitches. Upper edge has bobbin made footing sewn in place.
