Birth date unknown. Photographer-optician in Paris Auguste Adolphe Bertsch (?-1871) was a manufacturer/optician in Paris. In 1851, he photographed lice, antennas of flies, crystals, while improving the sensitivity of English collodion. In 1853, he presented his photomicrographic research at the Academy of Science (obtained by combination of the solar microscope and the darkroom). Founding member of the French Company of Photography in Paris, inventor, he collaborated with Arnaud, G.-A. Lenoir, C d'Arnaud.
