Breeches (a): knee length, pink cut stripe silk velvet. Plain flat silver buttons(image in object file). Waistcoat (b): white satin, polychrome embroidery of rose buds, flowers, leaves, dots, and french knots, edged with strip of embroidered lace, embroidered buttons. Coat (c):Dark plum colored cut stripe velvet on turquoise satin ground. Polychrome embroidery in floral design around high collar, down front, on very large pockets, and back vents. Large embroidered buttons down front, back and on pockets. Black silk wig bag suspended from back of collar to protect coat from queue. A straight pin of that period in silk. Image of coat and breeches in file. Dating refers to the coat and possibly the waistcoat. The breeches are from an earlier date.
