label from Albany Gallery, London (1971) with note: "Collection Mrs. Brabazon Combe, the wife of the artist's nephew and to whom Brabazon willed his 4000 pictures".
From the card attached to the old mat:"Given to H.B. Haveng (sp?) in memory of his old friemnd H B Brabazon by Haveng (Sp?)'s Dolly Combe Augst 1904/Oaklands". Brabazon spent his last 2 years at Oaklands, dying there in 1904, buried in Saddlescombe Village churchyard, Sussex.
