Cobbler's shop/home: he is at work on a bench, shoes in various stages of completion around him; his wife pulls on her stockings as she sits on the bed. Behind her is a tall chest with things piled on top, boots hang from a line across the ceiling, a coat and hat hang on the wall next to a small shelf holding bottles etc. At the window is a bird in a cage.
