Gift of Mrs. Hilda R. Nutall in memory of Magdalena Nuttall

Embroidered at each end in metallic gold. Per Jean Neder's thesis(NK 9165 N4 O7, p.85), "Lacking the careful detail and workmanship of earlier towels, it was probably designed as an item for trade." Design depicts a circular center motif topped with a carnation and flanked with hyacinths. Worked in siri(herringbone), satin and pesent stitches, center of medallion in Locum stitch.
