Under an immense woman's broad-brimmed hat suspended from the ceiling, nine women are trying out various fashion ideas, involving puffed out breasts, gauzes, and petticoats. Most of them are wearing hats similar to the suspended one; two in the foreground are apparently satisfied with theirs and are just sitting quietly. The others are holding hats, looking into a mirror, pulling on a garment with breasts fully exposed. One seems to have five o'clock shadow on chin and cheek. A design on the back wall could be of palm trees. (Virginia K. Anderson 02/21/95)
