Born Nettie Rosencrans, married Saul Rosenstein, 1916. Opened her New York business in 1919, and began to make couture garments in 1927. At her peak in the 1930s, she presented 500 models a year. She was represented in NYC by Bonwit Teller. Profiled in Life magazine, 1936. Won the Coty American Fashion Award 1947. Designed Mamie Eisenhower's 1953 and 1957 Innaugural gowns. Employed Charles Kleibacker as designer 1958 - 1961, when the house ceased to make clothing and concentrated on accessories.
