A man in a very simple garment with bare legs writing with a quilled pen. The courtyard or opening between two walls seems to lead to an open area with a mountain in the background. The head of an eagle, which faces the man, is probably part of a sculpted stone table or ledge that is decorated with a leaf design. The walls appear to be made of stone.
