Designed Rita Hayworth's trousseau for her marriage to Ali Kahn as well as the costumes for the 1947 ballet film, The Red Shoes. His clothes were notable for their feminity, with back detailing a common feature. He died of leukemia at 42 and his wife Genevieve continued the business until the house closed in 1957.
