Toile based on the engravings of Henry Bunbury. Drawing is rather crude and subject somewhat comical(rider being thrown, etc.). Soldiers encampments and fanciful foliage suggest a n English view of the Revolutionary War in America. On a drum head is written "Royal Artillery G III"

Contemporaneous Works “Art from the same century and country”
