Exhibition History:

CPLH, the Bruno & Sadie Adriani Memorial Exhibition, Sept 18 - Nov 14, 1976.

A barren landscape, where Faust and Mephistopheles (in guise of human) walk along, looking back at a dog following them. One says about the dog: "He growls and doesn't dare attack you. He lies on his belly and wags his tail." Both figures wear Italian Renaissance clothing: caps, heavy knee-length voluminous coats, stockings with clockwork, flat shoes with single strap or sabot-type. (Virginia k. Anderson 01/21/94)
