Gift of Mrs. Margo Silverman

Jean Neder: design of flower filled medallions on a flower border, remaining background with petit pois on a fine reseau of simple loops. All stitches and fillings of very finely made variations of the buttonhole stitch, with shading and cordonnet in all areas of the design. THis lace resembles Alencon, due to petit pois, but design if Point de Gaze, as are the looped stitches used in resesau. It seems to be an unusual combination of two laces. Human hair used as picot support on edge! Condition as new.
