Cast bronze, with dark brown patina. The sculpture is mounted by means of an upright center post on a bronze rectangular base, also with brown patina, most likely made by foundry. Artist signature: "Degas" at front of base. Foundry Mark: CIRE PERDUE AA HEBRARD "49 HER" in a square.
