Bequest of Thomas G. Fowler

Bone container of unknown use with fitted wood bottom. Punuk style engraving decorates the rim of the container. The baleen handle is secured to the container through two holes in opposite sides of the container. The baleen handle is a replacement. The container most likely had a fitted wooden lid secured with gut.
