A complete baby carrier. The body is decorated with elaborate zoomorphic forms produced by wax-resist, indigo dyeing, the wax resist applied by stencil. The overall design forms a T at the arms of which are long, wide ties of a coarser cloth decorated with freehand batik. The body of the carrier is made up of one large piece of hemp(?) cloth with a small piece added to complete the right arm of the T; the resist was applied after the pieces were joined. The body is lined with indigo-dyed hemp(?) cloth.
