A holy man, staff in hand, ankle deep in a stream, carries the infant Jesus on his shoulders. Another such figure poses with a lantern behind.

Saint Christopher, walking through water, is depicted as a young muscular man draped in robes, barefoot and grasping a sturdy staff. On his shoulders is the Christ child grasping an orb. The two figures are bound together by the saints upward gaze of piety and devotion. A bearded hermit with a lamp and a crook looks on as he walks near a church and trees.
